This legendary symbol combines the awesome powers and attributes of the dragon and the tortoise. These are two of the four spiritually endowed creatures of Chinese symbolism. The image is of a creature with the body of a tortoise and the head of the dragon with Ru Yi on it back. Like the chi lin, this is a creature of the imagination and it demonstrates the way the Chinese use symbolism to enhance the physical space of their living environment. 1. The tortoise symbolizes longevity. Here is a creature that is reputed to be able to live to 3000 years without food or air.

3. The dragon tortoise with ru yi will help to bring you power and authority as well as career luck.

Where to place the Dragon Tortoise?

You can use this symbol as a paperweight. Place it on your desk either in the north or east sector but not if this is directly in front of you. Try to have it by the side of you. You can also place this symbol behind where you sit to signify that you have the support of both the dragon and the tortoise.

Do not put this symbol directly in front of you as if you were confronting it. In feng shui, when you confront a powerful symbol you are asking for trouble. Do not place the auspicious dragon tortoise figurine on the floor or in your toilet/bathroom and kitchen. Placing in Bedroom is NOT encouraged.
