The Dragon and Phoenix Tassel

The Dragon and Phoenix are the ultimate YANG and YIN symbols of Chinese cosmology and mythology. The Dragon is the symbol of male vigor and fertility. The Phoenix symbolizes YIN splendor and female beauty when placed with the dragon.

The presence of the dragon and phoenix together in any home always symbolizes a fruitful marriage blessed with a great deal of success and prosperity as well as many male offsprings. This is the principle reason behind it being such a popular symbol for marriage celebrations and especially during the tea drinking ceremony.
